14" or 16" VOLITAN LIONFISH - unpainted fiberglass reproduction blank

All blanks are two sided with open gills on most species .
You are bidding on an unpainted blank fiberglass reproduction of either a 14" or 16" VOLITAN LIONFISH .
Please let me know which size you want when you order . 16" is 1st picture , 14" is 2nd picture .

Both side of this fish are in great shape and it can be used as a pedestal mount .
First picture shows what the finished fish will look like.
This fish blank is custom made to order and includes the fins so it will take a few days to make depending upon the weather .
This is a venomous, coral reef fish in the family Scorpaenidae . P. volitans is natively found in the Indo-Pacific region, but has become an invasive problem in the Caribbean Sea, as well as along the East Coast of the United States.
As with many species within the Scopaenidae family, it has large, venomous spines that protrude from the body, similar to a mane, giving it the common name lionfish. The venomous spines make the fish inedible or deter most potential predators .
You will be getting the fish as it comes out of the mold . All you need to do is wash in warm water to remove the green PVA mold release , then use tin snips or a hack saw and trim the excess flange off the blank , sand the seams , cut out and install fins ,and paint .
